I love that you have listed all of your favorite accessories! I am thinking of buying the 6 quart Instant Pot, and I am wondering what all I need to make the things I know I will make in here, like yogurt, custards and puddings, steamed veggies and rice (in addition to the obvious soups and stews and roasts and chickens…it sounds like it can do so many things. Here’s my comment: I would really like to see a personal comment or review of these items from you beside these items, that say something like “this is my favorite set of cups to make creme brulee”, or “these work great for making cheesecake”. The reason I say that is that, of course, I can follow the links and see what Amazon says about them. But you have two or more steamer baskets, and more than one set of custard cups, and two different stackable springform pans. I would like to know what you find as the pros and cons of these items, which would really help me to decide which one to buy for myself. Would that be possible?

Thanks for your comment. If you look though my recipes, you can see what I use all the time. Also, if you check out my list of Kitchen Essentials, those are my most used, so that may help as well. The new Instant Pot DUO Plus is really nice and I would suggest that one over the regular DUO. Jill

Love your website and recipes. I’m a newbie and I received a 5qt for a gift. I notice all the accessories and recipes pertain to a 6 qt. What do I do?will that be a problem for me? Help?

Curious how the Tabakh dabba pans are used in the IP?

The set is used for Pot in Pot cooking. The big pan is great for making rice on top of a main course, baking cakes, custard. The small pans are good for custards and mini cakes.

How do you get the handles off the RSVP Stainless Steel Strainer Basket (remove handles)???

Use a pliers or your fingers and just wiggle them, until the pop off.

Shelly, my handles were too hard to get off, so I put the handle in a vice on my husband’s workbench and slowly bent the handle straight up by pulling down – gently – on the basket. I love this solution because the basket still fits in the pot, was NOT damaged and now I have handles to use to get the basket out of the Instant Pot (with those little silicone mitts)! I actually PREFER my solution.

I am told that it does, but have not tried it myself. My 6 quart stainless steel IP cooking pot fits my other brands of Pressure Cookers. I think they are standard.
