Ingredients for Instant Pot Cocktail Weenies
- Tomato Puree
- Red Wine Vinegar
- Sea Salt
- Black Pepper
- Worcestershire Sauce or Coconut Aminos
- Dijon Mustard
- Sambal Oelek Chili Paste
- Dark Brown Sugar
The use of the Pressure Cooker or Instant Pot, makes preparing this recipe a breeze! It’s a great time to pull out your Mini Instant Pot DUO!
For the most even cut, use a good and sharp Chef’s Knife. If using full sized Hot Dogs, slice them into quarters.
For the Foot Long Hot Dog, slice them into six pieces. The packaged “Cocktail Weiners” or “Lit’l Smokies,” no need to slice.
Pro Tip: Any kind of Hot Dog or Sausage Cocktail Weenies will work in this recipe.
The Hot Dogs or Cocktail Size Weenies go right into the cooking pot.
Can Instant Pot Cocktail Weenies be Doubled?
- Yes, you can definitely double the recipe. You can even triple the recipe.
Place all the ingredients into a Measuring Cup.
Take a Whisk and whisk up the Sauce, so that the Sugar blends in to the wet ingredients.
Low Carb Version of Cocktail Weenies
- Tomato Puree
- Red Wine Vinegar
- Sea Salt
- Black Pepper
- Worcestershire Sauce or Coconut Aminos (for Gluten Free)
- Dijon Mustard
- Sambal Oelek Chili Paste
- Sukrin Gold Brown Sugar Alternative or Lakanto Sugar Substitute
Pro Tip: If serving at a Thanksgiving gathering, you might want to add a bit of Ground Sage! Mmmmmm.
Pour all the Sauce into the cooking pot.
Variations
- For an adult version mix together Apricot Preserves and a nice Brandy.
Pro Tip: The longer the weenies sit in the sauce, the better it tastes.
Only a small amount of liquid is added, just to allow the Sauce to come to Pressure.
Keep the Instant Pot, on warm so that the sauce thickens up and caramelizes.
You can serve them right from the pot.

- 24 Hot Dogs
- 3/4 cup Tomato Puree
- 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
- 1/4 cup Fresh Water
- 1/4 cup Dark Brown Sugar packed
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Sambal Oelek Ground Chili Paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Low Carb Version
- 24 Hot Dogs
- 3/4 cup Tomato Puree
- 1/4 cup Red Wine Vinegar
- 1/4 cup Fresh Water
- 1/4 cup Swerve Brown Sugar Replacement
- 2 teaspoons Liquid Coconut Aminos
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt
- 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
- 1 teaspoon Sambal Oelek Ground Chili Paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Instructions
- Cut Hot Dogs into four pieces each and add to Pressure Cooker cooking pot.
- Whisk together the rest of the ingredients and pour over Hot Dogs. Combine.
- Lock on Lid and close Pressure Valve. Cook at High Pressure for 3 minutes. When Beep sounds, wait until all pressure has been released and then open Lid. Keep pot on warm to thicken Sauce. The longer the Hot Dogs sit in the Sauce, the better.
Slow Cooker
- Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or on HIGH for 2-4 hours.
